Breyer The Ideal Series – American Paint Horse 1839 ZDS

The Ideal Series pays homage to the artwork of renowned equine artist Orren Mixer and his famed “ideal” horse breed paintings. Over the course of Mixer’s career_ seven horse breed associations commissioned him to paint their breed’s ideal. These images have cemented Mixer’s place as one of history’s preeminent equine artists.~@~@In celebration of the American Paint Horse Association’s 40th birthday in 2002_ they commissioned Mixer to paint a new portrait. Titled “The Sire_” it featured an overo stallion looking over his colorful herd. Today_ this painting hangs in the APHA headquarters in Fort Worth_ Texas.~@~@We are pleased to have the American Paint Horse join the Breyer herd as the second release in The Ideal Series! Enjoyed by both breed enthusiasts & equine art lovers.
